How to swap a sensor device

If you need to switch the sensor to a new device, you can easily swap them in the Hygiene IQ app. Make sure both the old and new sensor devices are powered on and placed near your mobile device before proceeding. Follow these steps to swap devices:

  1. Gather the old and new sensor devices closer to your mobile.
  2. Open the Hygiene IQ app and access your location from the Customer Locations page

  4. Once on the Tasks page, switch tabs by selecting Rooms.
  5. Tasks page - Select Rooms tab
  6. Select the room with the sensor you want to swap.
  7. Rooms Tab - Select Room
  8. Select the sensor you want to swap to open the Sensor Settings page.
  9. Room details page - Select Sensor
  10. Tap the Swap button.

  12. The app will scan for the new device. Select the newly scanned sensor in the app.

  14. Once the swap is complete, select OK on the pop-up message.

  16. Next tap Save on the Sensor Settings page.

The new sensor will be added to your location and room, while the old sensor will reset to an unactivated, unassigned status.

⚠️ Important Note : When a sensor is swapped, all existing settings are automatically transferred to the new device—no need to configure them again.
