How to add a Room

If you have different areas in your business and need to monitor them separately, you can do so by creating multiple rooms for the location in the Hygiene IQ app. By default a room is added when creating a location for the first time. Follow the steps below to add more rooms to your location:

  1. Open the Hygiene IQ app and access your location from the Customer Locations page (ignore step if already in the Tasks page for your location).

  3. Once on the Tasks page, switch tabs by selecting Rooms.
  4. Tasks page - Select Rooms tab
  5. Select the '+' button on the top right corner of the screen

    • If you skipped adding a room when creating the location, select the Add room button in the middle of the screen.

  7. Enter the room name, once transferred to the Add room page (if your location has multiple rooms across different buildings or floors, enter each room’s building and/or floor name for easy identification).
  8. Add room details page
  9. Tap Next.
  10. Add a Hub and activate it. Complete the activation process by assigning it to the Order ID (make sure to link your Order ID to an active subscription).

  12. Finalize the set up by adding one or more sensors.

⚠️ Important Note:To ensure the system functions properly, a Hub must be added to every room. If you add only sensors without assigning a Hub, you will not receive alerts from the sensors in that room.
